Typhoon Ruby Update

Just a quick update: The typhoon is moving across the center of the Philippines and has caused damage, but minimal loss of life from what we see on the news here. It hit land as a category 3 storm and has been losing intensity and size, but still bringing a lot of wind and rain. It has downgraded to a category 2 and will leave the Philippine area of responsibility as a tropical storm, probably by Thursday. It is a very slow moving system. Our mission and missionaries have not been affected other than with steady rain and breezy wind. We do not anticipate any more than that.

Mid-morning we received an email from the area presidency stating that all missionaries in the Philippines were safe and accounted for.

Thank you for your prayers for all of the Philippines. We have been watched over.
