One Last Transfer…Departures March 9-11, 2015

Time is starting to go faster and faster.  We've known for quite awhile that we had a big group going home in March of 2015.  But for a long time, that was months and months away.  And so we enjoyed being missionaries together in the beautiful Philippines, and we watched as these wonderful young men and women became instruments in the hands of God as they taught the gospel of Jesus Christ.  And the time really came for their last transfer--the one that takes them home after their service as missionaries.

Sister Maunana's flight
arrangements required her
to leave on March 9th, so we
celebrated with her a little early.

On Tuesday morning, our soon-to-be RMs begin
arriving at the mission complex. There are personal
interviews, lots of rearranging of luggage contents,
and in the afternoon, a special "To Be Continued"
meeting with counsel from President and Sister Rahlf
about what is now ahead for them.

After the Departure Fireside, there is time
to visit with special friends from the mission.

Then it's back to the Mission Home
for a special dinner and the "Clipping Ceremony."

BEFORE

AFTER

Wednesday morning sees some suits that
haven't been worn since arrival day two
years ago!

We didn't have enough room to transport
all of this big group, so we hired triceys to
take some of the missionaries to the airport--
one, last great ride!

God be with you…
