October 2014 Zone Conferences "Becoming a Successful Missionary" October 21--Alicia, Santiago North and Santiago South Zones

Our October 2014 Zone Conference theme was "Becoming a Successful Missionary."

In the morning session, President Rahlf taught the attributes of a successful missionary as found in Preach My Gospel:
*Feel the Spirit testify to people through you
     *Love all people
     *Obey with exactness
*LIve so you can receive and know how to follow the Spirit
     *Develop Christlike attributes
     *Work effectively every day
*Help build up the Church wherever you are assigned to work
*Warn people of the consequences of sin--Invite them to make and keep commitments
     *Teach and serve other missionaries
*Go about doing good and serving others--whether or not they accept your message
He shared examples of these attributes as we have seen them from missionaries in our mission.

I taught about the temptations of Christ, and how He showed us the way to overcome all the "fiery darts" of the adversary.

We then had two workshops on effective Language Study and effective Finding Efforts taught by the Assistants, Zone Leaders and Sister Training Leaders.

Lunch was enjoyed (and devoured!) and our activity was a friendly competition  of
"Minute to Win It."

After lunch and the games, we gathered again in the chapel for a closing session.  President Rahlf taught "Obedience--the First Law of Heaven," and we ended our day with testimonies from our missionaries.

As always, we were strengthened by each other and by the Spirit, and left each conference renewed and grateful to be the Lord's missionaries.
We love the Philippines Cauayan Mission!
