We are Women of God: Sisters Specialized Training March 26, 2014 (Alicia, Bambang, Cauayan, Roxas and Santiago North Zones)

On March 26th and 28th, we held our first specialized training for the sisters.  Our theme was We are Women of God, taken from Sheri Dew's conference talk in October 1999.   Her statement was, "We are not women of the world.  We are women of God.  And women of God will be among the greatest heroines of the 21st century."  We certainly see that in the Sister missionaries of the Cauayan Mission.

We began with an opening session in which I presented the theme.  That was followed by workshops taught by our Senior Couple sisters:  Sister Campbell, Sister Honeycutt, and Sister Shorter.  Their lessons focused on strength among diversity, modesty and morality, charity and doing hard things.

Our beautiful Sisters gather
before the
training begins.

After the workshops concluded,
we gathered for lunch and an activity
that demonstrated the strength of unity and togetherness.

President Rahlf spoke in the closing session about Women of God.
A few more pictures and then our Sisters departed for their areas,
having been "nourished by the good word of God."

We made a change  to a favorite hymn which describes the outcome of our day together.

"As sisters in Cauayan, we'll all work together;
The blessings of God on our labors we'll seek.
We'll build up His kingdom with earnest endeavor;
We'll comfort the weary and strengthen the weak."

We are not women of the world.  We are women of God.
