"Nearer My God to Thee. . ." Part 3 Elder and Sister Laker

Friday, December 13

It's departure day for one of our Senior Couples!  Elder and Sister Laker have been serving in the mission for 23 months as the office secretary and mission financial secretary.  They welcomed us into the mission on the first of July and got us quickly on our feet.

We cannot begin to express our gratitude to these faithful, dedicated senior missionaries.  They have left deep footprints in many hearts and the Philippines Cauayan Mission will be forever blessed by their love for the Saints and missionaries here, and their living testimonies of the Savior.

Sister Laker knows everything!

Elder Laker and his smile kept the mission and the books balanced!

The Lakers also served as support for their beloved Naguilian Branch

We dressed in black because we were in mourning!
(except Sister Laker who is both happy/sad!)

Serving together creates eternal friendships

The Departure Door is waiting!
The time has come to return to the family that has willingly shared them for the  past 23 months.
We send them off with smiles and gratitude and just a few tears.
Until we meet again!

And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that
when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.

Mosiah 2:17
