Oliver Cowdery in writing about his time with the Prophet Joseph Smith, said
"These were days never to be forgotten--"
That's exactly the way these missionaries feel about their time in the Philippines Cauayan Mission. Days filled with service, love, work, mosquitos, heat, fatigue, strength, endurance, tears, trials and joy.
And worth every moment. We will miss these Returning missionaries and honor them for their dedication to the hastening work of salvation.
Getting ready for the "Trunky Meeting." They thought we should re-name it the
"To Be Continued Meeting"
testimonies and then to visit with them afterward and wish them happy journeys home.
After dinner, we had the awarding of CLS certificates, presented by President Rahlf
and Elder and Sister Shorter. These are missionaries that have completed a course
in English and then taken a proficiency exam.
We're so proud of them!
And the evening's biggest
moment--
The Clipping Ceremony
Before…
The next morning we enjoy breakfast together, and then each of the missionaries write their words of counsel for the new missionaries that will arrive later in the day.
Leaving for the airport in the December rain--
It was raining too hard to get our traditional Departure picture--had to take some
quick candids instead
Also a part of this MTC group, was Sister Miller, who returned home in October with an early medical release. But she left heart and soul in the mission!
Returning with honor…

that we have been made instruments in the hands of God
to bring about this great work." Alma 26:3
