Three Weeks in the Field and Doing Fine; Saying Goodbye to Elder Zhang: MLC

Our January 28th arrivals are now three weeks into the field and are doing great!  We have them and their trainers back in to the mission home for additional training, question and answer, lunch and friendship time.  These missionaries have engaged in their missionary work with energy and purpose and we had a wonderful day with them.

Elder Zhang from mainland China was to have returned home in April, but due to some

unusual circumstances left on February 20th instead.  He came to the mission not speaking Tagolog or English and as a convert of just over a year.  He left with a powerful

testimony, as a great teacher, missionary and friend, and fluent in both new languages.

Returned with honor…God be with you 'til we meet again Elder Zhang!

We had a great meeting with these fine missionaries who are serving for a time as the mission leadership council.  They discussed and set new goals for the upcoming year, along with a vision of how successful our mission will be.  We are thankful for them and their willingness to accept and carry out their responsibilities.
